Book Review –

Thanks to NetGally and Orbit Books for this eARC!

This was a good book, but not a great book you know what I’m saying?

I absolutely love the opposing stories of Reina and Eva. Both are dealing with a world that doesn’t like who they are and both are fighting for power in a world where they are seen as less.

That being said, there was a lot of confusing exposition and several storylines that didn’t really wrap up, but felt like they should have. The book is set up for a sequel, but the ending just felt lackluster to me. I did love that both Reina and Eva are more like protagonists by the end of the book, but for most of the story it just seems like the plot is happening to them and not like they are a part of it.

I hope this author continues this story because I’d be excited to watch it grow.
